1inch Card Review: Fees, Cashback and the 2% Spend Fee

By

1inch Card — 1inch Card

1inch Card suits 1inch users in the UK and EEA who want a free Mastercard with Apple Pay, Google Pay and a physical card. Its 2% spend fee is larger than the 1% cashback, so every payment loses money unless you take rewards in BXX.

Good

  • No issuance, monthly or annual fee
  • 1% cashback in BTC or USDT, 2% if paid in BXX
  • No FX fee on foreign-currency payments
  • Virtual and physical card with Apple Pay and Google Pay

Watch out

  • 2% spend fee on every card payment
  • Cashback in BTC or USDT doesn't cover the spend fee
  • ATM withdrawals cost €2.50, or €3 plus 1.5% abroad
  • Not available in the United States

1inch Card is a free prepaid Mastercard for the UK and EEA that turns crypto into euros or pounds at the moment you pay. It has no issuance or monthly fee and pays 1% cashback in BTC or USDT, or 2% in BXX, but every card payment carries a 2% spend fee.

1inch doesn't run the card itself. Crypto Life, a platform built by the UK fintech Baanx, manages the account and the app, Monavate issues the Mastercard, and 1inch provides the brand and the link to its wallet. The same platform powers cards for Ledger, MetaMask and Exodus, so the 1inch Card shares their fee schedule.

1inch Card cashback

1inch Card pays 1% back on all card spending in BTC or USDT, or 2% if you choose to receive rewards in BXX, Baanx's own token.

There is no monthly cap, no staking requirement and no paid tier, so every cardholder earns the same rate. Rewards can be moved to your chosen wallet at any time in the app. The exception is spending funded through Cryptodraft, the platform's crypto-backed credit line, which earns nothing.

The rate looks fine on its own, but it has to be read next to the 2% spend fee. Paid in BTC or USDT, 1% back on a €100 purchase returns €1 against €2 in fees. Only the BXX option covers the fee, and that means holding a small-cap token issued by the card provider.

1inch Card fees

1inch Card has no issuance, monthly or annual fee, but Crypto Life's fee schedule charges 2% on every card spend, whichever crypto you pay with.

That spend fee is the main cost of the card. On €1,000 of monthly spending it comes to €20, against €10 back in BTC or USDT. The good news is that the card adds no FX fee on foreign-currency payments, according to Monavate's fee document, so paying in dollars on holiday costs the same 2% as paying at home.

Other charges come up only occasionally: a replacement card costs €5, cancelling a card order within 14 days costs €3.50, and Crypto Life may charge a delivery fee for the physical card. Loading the account by debit card costs €2 for amounts under €56 and €0.60 plus 2.49% above that, while bank transfers in are free.

1inch Card ATM withdrawal fees

1inch Card charges €2.50 for each withdrawal in your home country and €3 plus 1.5% for each withdrawal in a foreign currency abroad.

There is no free monthly allowance, so the flat fee hurts most on small amounts. A €50 withdrawal at home costs €2.50 in ATM fees, which is 5%, while a €200 withdrawal abroad costs €6. The owner of the cash machine may also add a charge of its own on top of these fees.

Is 1inch Card safe?

1inch Card is custodial: once you move crypto from your 1inch Wallet to the card account, Crypto Life holds it, and it is no longer under your own keys.

The card is issued by Monavate, which 1inch describes as an FCA-authorised e-money institution and principal Mastercard member, and Baanx runs the platform. In October 2026 Crypto Life told users that an unauthorised party had reached personal data of certain US customers through a third-party provider's access. Crypto Life said it found no evidence that customer funds were accessed, and the 1inch Card itself isn't offered in the US.

The safest way to use the card is to move across only what you plan to spend and keep long-term holdings in your own wallet.

Who should get 1inch Card

1inch Card suits people in the UK and EEA who already use the 1inch Wallet and want a free Mastercard with a physical card, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

It makes most sense for spending abroad, because the card adds no FX fee and the same 2% applies in every currency. For everyday spending at home, the 2% fee against 1% cashback means you lose about €10 on every €1,000 you spend, unless you accept rewards in BXX.

If you want cashback that beats the fees, the comparison below shows cards in your country with lower spend fees.
