Gemini Credit Card — Gemini Credit Card

Gemini Credit Card suits US residents who want a no-fee credit card that turns everyday spending into crypto, especially on dining, groceries and gas. The 4% rate stops after $300 a month of gas and transit spending, and there's no sign-up bonus today.

Good

  • No annual fee and no foreign transaction fee
  • 3% back on dining and 2% on groceries, paid in crypto
  • 1% on everything else, with no crypto to sell when you pay
  • Rewards in bitcoin or one of over 50 cryptocurrencies

Watch out

  • 4% on gas, EV charging and transit stops after $300 a month
  • No sign-up bonus since the $200 offer was paused in 2026
  • US only, and approval needs a credit check
  • Rewards land in a custodial Gemini exchange account

Gemini Credit Card is a Mastercard credit card for US residents, issued by WebBank, that pays rewards in crypto. It has no annual fee and no foreign transaction fee. It pays 1% back on everyday spending, 2% on groceries, 3% on dining and 4% on gas, EV charging and transit, the last on the first $300 a month.

Gemini Credit Card is an ordinary credit card on the spending side. You pay in dollars on a credit line and repay the bill in dollars, so no crypto is sold when you buy something. Only the rewards are crypto, deposited into your Gemini exchange account.

Gemini Credit Card cashback

Gemini Credit Card pays 1% back on all purchases, with higher rates of 2% on groceries, 3% on dining and 4% on gas, EV charging and transit.

The 4% category has a cap. It applies to the first $300 of gas, charging and transit each month, which is $12, and spending above that earns 1%.

The categories add up for a typical budget. Someone who spends $300 on gas, $400 on dining, $600 on groceries and $700 on everything else earns $43 a month, or about 2.2% on $2,000. Someone who puts the same $2,000 on other purchases earns $20 at 1%.

Rewards are paid in bitcoin or one of over 50 cryptocurrencies, and land in your Gemini account. The card also comes in Solana, XRP and Bitcoin editions, which have the same rates and benefits as the standard design. There's a single plan, with no paid tier.

Gemini Credit Card fees

Gemini Credit Card has no annual fee, no foreign transaction fee and no crypto conversion fee, and the physical card is free, so a purchase costs its price.

That makes Gemini Credit Card one of the cheaper crypto cards to take abroad. A $1,000 trip paid in euros or pesos carries no Gemini fee on top of the exchange rate and still earns at least 1% back, which is $10.

The real cost of a credit card is interest. If you don't pay the full statement balance each month, interest on the remainder will quickly cancel out the crypto rewards. The card makes sense only if you clear the bill in full.

Gemini Credit Card ATM withdrawal fees

Gemini Credit Card treats every ATM withdrawal as a cash advance, which starts charging the cash advance APR from the day you take the money out.

That makes it the wrong card for cash. On top of interest, a cash advance carries a fee set in the cardholder agreement, so check the current amount there before you use the card at an ATM. The ATM owner may add their own charge too.

Is Gemini Credit Card safe?

Gemini Credit Card is a regular bank-issued credit card from WebBank, so your spending never touches your crypto, and the custodial part is only the rewards.

Purchases go on a credit line in dollars, and you repay WebBank in dollars. A drop in crypto prices doesn't change what you owe or what you can spend.

The rewards are deposited into your Gemini exchange account, where Gemini holds the keys. That balance sits on an exchange, not in a wallet you control. If you plan to hold the crypto you earn for years, move it out of the exchange from time to time.

Who should get Gemini Credit Card

Gemini Credit Card suits US residents who pay their balance in full every month and spend a good share on dining, groceries and gas. On a mixed $2,000 budget it earns around $43 a month in crypto with no annual fee. A driver who spends $300 a month on gas earns $12 a month, or $144 a year, from the 4% category alone.

The missing FX fee also makes it a good travel card for anyone in the US, since many crypto debit cards charge 1% to 2% on foreign purchases.

If you carry a balance, or want a bigger welcome bonus, a traditional rewards card may fit better. The comparison below shows the other crypto cards available in the US.

Where Gemini Credit Card is available

Gemini Credit Card is available only in the United States, to residents who pass WebBank's credit approval.

There's no version of the card for other countries. Approval also depends on WebBank's credit decision, so being a Gemini exchange customer doesn't guarantee a card.
