WhiteBIT Nova USD Card is a free virtual Visa debit card that spends crypto straight from a WhiteBIT exchange account. It has no issuance or monthly fee, but every payment costs 1.5% plus $0.20. Cashback is limited to three chosen categories, with rates up to 10%, and stops at $25 a month.
The card replaces nothing in WhiteBIT's European lineup. The euro WhiteBIT Nova card for the EEA was suspended on 30 June 2026 while WhiteBIT prepares a separate European platform, and the USD card is a new product for whitebit.com users in other countries, settling every payment in US dollars.
WhiteBIT Nova USD Card cashback
WhiteBIT Nova USD Card pays no cashback on general spending, only on purchases in three categories you pick from a list of about a dozen.
The rates on WhiteBIT's card page range from 1% on groceries, restaurants, fuel and clothing to 2% on entertainment and gaming, 5% on taxis and pets, and 10% on subscriptions. Each category is defined by merchant codes, so a purchase only earns if the shop's code matches the category you selected. You can swap your three categories once every 7 days, and WhiteBIT notes that the rates in the app can change.
The bigger limit is the monthly cap of $25. At 10% on subscriptions, you reach it after $250 of streaming, software and phone bills. At 1% on groceries, you would need $2,500 of supermarket spending to collect the same $25. Rewards build up in BTC or WBT and can be withdrawn once they reach 5 USDC. New cardholders also get 5% back on their first transaction, whatever the category.
WhiteBIT Nova USD Card fees
WhiteBIT Nova USD Card has no fees to open, hold or close the card, but each purchase costs 1.5% of the amount plus a flat $0.20.
The flat part matters most on small payments. A $5 coffee costs $0.28 in fees, which is 5.5%, while a $100 purchase costs $1.70, or 1.7%. If you mostly buy small items, the fee will cancel out the cashback you earn on them. The transaction fee isn't returned when a merchant refunds you, although the refund itself is free.
WhiteBIT's fee table also lists a separate 1.5% conversion fee. The card has no top-up fee, because it draws directly on the crypto in your Main balance, converting assets in an order you set.
WhiteBIT Nova USD Card ATM withdrawal fees
WhiteBIT Nova USD Card doesn't support cash withdrawals yet, so it can't be used at ATMs.
WhiteBIT has already set the limits for when the feature arrives, at $10,000 a day and $2,000 per withdrawal, but it hasn't published a fee or a launch date. Until then, you need a different card for cash.
Is WhiteBIT Nova USD Card safe?
WhiteBIT Nova USD Card is custodial, which means your crypto sits on the WhiteBIT exchange and WhiteBIT holds the keys until the moment you pay.
The card is a Visa debit card issued in partnership with JSC Hash Bank in Georgia. WhiteBIT says it keeps 96% of customer assets in cold wallets and checks deposits with an AML system. In the app you can freeze the card, block individual merchants and set a daily limit for online spending, which helps if your card details leak. As with any exchange card, keep only what you plan to spend on the balance the card draws from.
Who should get WhiteBIT Nova USD Card
WhiteBIT Nova USD Card suits existing WhiteBIT users who pay for subscriptions and online services in dollars and want to spend crypto without withdrawing it first.
If you set subscriptions as one of your categories, $250 a month of software, streaming and phone bills earns the full $25 cap, while ten subscription payments of $25 each cost $5.75 in fees. For everyday shopping the maths is less kind, because 1.5% plus $0.20 on every payment is more than the 1% that half the categories return.
The card is also a poor fit for travellers who need cash, since it only exists in virtual form and has no ATM access. The comparison below shows the alternatives available in your country.
Where WhiteBIT Nova USD Card is available
