Zypto Premium VISA Card — Premium

Zypto Premium VISA Card suits people in countries that most crypto cards don't cover, since it's available in 227 countries and territories including the US. It pays no cashback and costs about 3.3% on every $100 payment, so it's expensive for everyday spending.

Watch out

  • No cashback on any spending

  • 1.75% FX fee on top for foreign-currency payments
  • $50 card fee

Zypto Premium VISA Card is a prepaid crypto card from Zypto with a $50 card fee and no subscription, and it pays no cashback. Every payment costs a 3% conversion fee plus $0.30, and foreign-currency payments add 1.75%. Its main draw is reach: it's available in 227 countries and territories.

The card comes as a virtual and a physical Visa, works with Apple Pay and Google Pay, and needs an ID check. The fee structure makes it a card for occasional use, not for daily spending.

Zypto Premium VISA Card cashback

Zypto Premium VISA Card pays no cashback on its single Premium plan.

There are no higher tiers, no staking and no token to hold, so there's nothing to unlock either. That keeps the card simple, but the fees below aren't offset by any rewards, so on the Zypto Premium VISA Card the full cost of each payment comes out of your balance.

Zypto Premium VISA Card fees

Zypto Premium VISA Card charges a 3% conversion fee and $0.30 on every payment, plus a 1.75% FX fee on foreign-currency payments, after a one-off $50 card fee.

On a $100 purchase at home, that's $3 plus $0.30, or $3.30. Abroad, the 1.75% FX fee adds $1.75, for $5.05 in total. Small payments cost more in percentage terms, so a $20 purchase at home costs $0.90 in fees, which is 4.5%.

The $0.30 per-payment fee matters most on small purchases. On a $10 payment it adds 3% on its own, while on a $200 payment it's 0.15%. Fewer, larger payments keep the total close to the 3% conversion fee.

The monthly total adds up fast. Spending $2,000 a month in $50 payments costs $60 in conversion fees and $12 in per-payment fees, or $72 a month. Over a year that's $864, before the $50 card fee and any FX.

These numbers put the Zypto Premium VISA Card among the more expensive cards to spend with. It makes sense to load only what you need and use a cheaper card where one is available.

Zypto Premium VISA Card ATM withdrawal fees

Zypto Premium VISA Card charges 1% on ATM withdrawals, and the 3% conversion fee applies as well.

A $200 withdrawal at home costs $2 in ATM fees and $6 in conversion, so $8 before the ATM owner's own charge. Abroad, the 1.75% FX fee adds $3.50, bringing Zypto's share to $11.50. There's no free monthly allowance, so every withdrawal pays the full rate.

Both Zypto fees are percentages with no flat part, so splitting a withdrawal into smaller ones doesn't change what Zypto takes. The ATM owner's charge usually applies per withdrawal, which makes one larger withdrawal cheaper than several small ones.

Is Zypto Premium VISA Card safe?

Zypto Premium VISA Card is custodial: the balance you spend sits with Zypto, not in a wallet you control.

As a prepaid card, it spends a balance you load in advance rather than a bank account, and you need to pass Zypto's ID check to get it. Your access to the funds depends on Zypto and its card partners, whose terms are published on Zypto's site.

The prepaid model limits how much is at stake at any time. If you keep the card topped up only for the next few weeks of spending, the amount exposed to any problem with the provider stays small.

Who should get Zypto Premium VISA Card

Zypto Premium VISA Card suits people who live in a country that other crypto cards don't serve and who need a Visa they can fund with crypto.

With 227 countries and territories on the list, the card covers many places where the larger exchange cards aren't offered. For someone there, paying 3.3% on a purchase can still beat having no card at all.

Travel is where the costs climb. Spending $1,500 abroad in $50 payments costs $45 in conversion fees, $26.25 in FX fees and $9 in per-payment fees, about $80 in total.

Anyone with access to cheaper cards should use them. A free card with no conversion fee would save around $72 a month on $2,000 of spending, even before counting cashback. The comparison below shows the alternatives in your country.
