OKX Card is a free virtual Mastercard that spends stablecoins from the OKX Pay wallet. In Europe it charges no FX fee, takes a 0.1% conversion spread, and pays 2% cashback on the first €2,500 of USDG spending each month, which is €50 at most. OKX VIPs can earn up to 10%.
OKX runs the card as separate regional programs. Europe gets a euro Mastercard, Singapore gets a dollar Visa, and a dollar Mastercard covers some markets in Africa and South Asia. Pick your country at the top of the page and every table below shows the terms for that program.
OKX Card cashback
OKX Card pays 2% cashback on the first €2,500 of monthly spending on its free plan in Europe, which works out to €50 a month at most.
Only payments funded with USDG earn cashback, according to OKX's EEA cashback FAQ. Paying from USDC earns nothing, so keep the card balance in USDG if you want the rewards. Cashback arrives in USDG in your Pay account within 72 hours of the merchant settling the payment.
Higher rates follow your OKX VIP level, and card spending can't move you up. VIP 1 pays 4% on up to €7,500 (€300 a month), VIP 2 pays 4.5% on up to €10,000 (€450), and VIP 3 pays 5% on up to €20,000 (€1,000). VIP 4 and above get 10%, but only on the first €10,000, so the ceiling is the same €1,000 a month as VIP 3.
Money transfers, gambling, tax payments, insurance and crypto funding are excluded in every tier.
In Singapore the same tiers run in dollars, from 2% on the first $2,500 ($50 a month) to 10% on the first $10,000 ($1,000). The catch is that only accredited investors get cashback there.
OKX Card fees
OKX Card has no card, monthly or annual fee in Europe, and the only charge on a payment is a 0.1% spread when your stablecoins are converted to euros.
OKX adds no FX markup, so a dollar or pound payment is converted at Mastercard's rate. On a €100 purchase abroad, OKX's cost is 10 cents, which is close to free for travel spending.
The Singapore card and the dollar card carry the same 0% FX fee and 0.1% spread. The card is virtual in every region, so there's no physical card to pay for.
In Europe the card spends USDC and USDG, while the Singapore and dollar programs also accept USDT.
OKX Card ATM withdrawal fees
OKX Card can't be used at ATMs in any region, so there are no ATM fees to compare.
The cardholder agreements for Singapore and for the dollar program both rule out cash withdrawals, and the European card has no ATM option either. If you need cash abroad, carry a second card.
Is OKX Card safe?
OKX Card is issued by regulated companies in each region, while OKX runs the Pay wallet that holds the stablecoins you spend.
In Europe, OKX Europe Limited, a crypto-asset service provider registered in Malta, runs the card program and the Pay wallet. The card itself is issued by UAB Monavate, an electronic money institution authorised by the Bank of Lithuania, and in Singapore the issuer is Xfers Pte Ltd, trading as StraitsX.
OKX's EEA wallet terms ask you to safeguard your private key shard, and your stablecoins stay in the Pay wallet until you pay. At that moment OKX converts the amount to euros and sends it to Monavate, which settles with the merchant.
The same terms say Pay wallet balances aren't covered by any investor compensation scheme. If OKX Europe became insolvent, you would be a general creditor, so keep only what you plan to spend in the Pay wallet.
Who should get OKX Card
OKX Card suits OKX users in Europe who hold USDG and spend in more than one currency.
With no FX fee and a 0.1% spread, €1,000 of spending abroad costs €1 in card fees. Paid from USDG, the same €1,000 earns €20 in cashback, which makes the free plan one of the cheaper ways to spend stablecoins in the EEA.
VIP rates matter only to people who already trade enough on OKX to hold VIP status. VIP 4 adds little for the card alone, because its 10% rate tops out at the same €1,000 a month as VIP 3.
Skip OKX Card if you need cash or a physical card, and in Singapore it pays nothing unless you're an accredited investor. The comparison below shows the strongest alternatives in your country.
Where OKX Card is available
OKX Card is available in the 27 EU countries, Norway and Singapore, plus some markets in Africa and South Asia, but not in the United States.
Iceland and Liechtenstein are left out of the European program. Your card's billing address has to match the address on your main OKX account.
