Rebind Card Review: Fees, Cashback and Euro Stablecoins

By

Rebind Card — Standard

Rebind Card suits people in Europe who want a free virtual Visa that spends euro stablecoins from their own account, with no FX fee abroad. It is virtual only, so there is no physical card and no way to withdraw cash until Rebind adds one.

Good

  • No card, monthly, top-up or payment fees
  • 0% FX fee on payments in other currencies
  • EURe balance stays in a self-custody smart account
  • Apple Pay and Google Pay on the virtual card

Watch out

  • Virtual only, with no physical card yet
  • No ATM withdrawals without a physical card
  • Spends only EURe, a euro stablecoin
  • Payments capped at €5,000 each and €8,000 a day

Rebind Card is a free virtual Visa card from Rebind, a Paris-based euro money app, that spends EURe, a euro stablecoin, from a self-custody account. It has no card fee, no monthly fee and a 0% FX fee on payments in other currencies, but there is no physical card yet and no way to withdraw cash.

The card is one part of the Rebind app, which also gives you a free euro IBAN, a savings product and a way to buy crypto and stocks. Euros you receive arrive as EURe, issued by Monerium, and you move as much as you want onto the card, which keeps its own balance separate from the rest of your account.

Rebind Card cashback

Rebind advertises cashback of up to 5% on every Rebind Card purchase, but it doesn't publish the rates, what it takes to reach the top rate or the asset rewards are paid in.

Until Rebind publishes those terms, the Rebind Card is best judged as a fee-free spending card, with any cashback counted as a bonus on top. Many free crypto cards pay around 1% on everyday spending, so the card has to earn at least that much to match them on rewards alone.

Rebind also runs a savings product that pays up to 5% a year on euros kept in the app. That yield is separate from card rewards, and Rebind keeps 15% of what the savings earn, already built into the rate the app shows.

Rebind Card fees

The Rebind Card has no card fee, no monthly fee and no minimum balance, and payments in other currencies carry no FX fee.

Rebind adds nothing to card payments, and Gnosis Pay, the company that runs the card, charges no transaction fee and converts foreign payments at Visa's own rate. A €50 dinner in Paris costs exactly 50 EURe, and a $100 bill in New York costs whatever euro amount Visa calculates that day, with nothing added.

Moving money from your Rebind balance onto the card is free and instant, and getting euros in through the Monerium IBAN is free as well. Rebind charges nothing on stablecoin transactions, while swapping one crypto asset for another in the app costs 0.8%, which only matters if you buy other assets before spending.

Gnosis Pay caps card spending at €8,000 in a rolling 24 hours and €5,000 for a single payment. That covers daily life comfortably, but it rules out a large one-off purchase such as a car deposit.

Rebind Card ATM withdrawal fees

The Rebind Card can't be used for cash withdrawals today, because it is a virtual card and Rebind hasn't launched a physical version yet.

Rebind says a physical card will come later, and until then anyone who needs cash has to send euros from the Rebind IBAN to a bank account, which is free over SEPA, and withdraw from that bank's card instead.

Cash withdrawals aren't supported.

Is Rebind Card safe?

The Rebind Card is self-custody: your EURe sits in a smart account that only you control, and Rebind can't freeze or move it.

Rebind uses Privy, a Stripe company, for the embedded wallet, and protects the account with passkeys and biometrics instead of a seed phrase. If Rebind shut down, the money would still be on the blockchain and reachable without the app, and you can lock the card or the whole account in one tap.

The card is issued through Gnosis Pay by Monavate, an e-money institution regulated by the UK's Financial Conduct Authority. On June 1, 2026, attackers exploited a flaw in the smart account modules Gnosis Pay uses and took about $1.5 million, but Gnosis covered the loss, no users lost funds, and card services were back for 99% of users by June 6.

Rebind is a financial technology company and not a bank, so your balance is held as e-money stablecoins issued by Monerium, a licensed EU e-money institution, and backed one to one by reserves.

Who should get Rebind Card

The Rebind Card suits people who want to hold euros as a stablecoin in their own account and spend them anywhere Visa works, without paying FX fees.

The 0% FX fee is the clearest saving. A card with a 2% FX fee costs €20 on €1,000 of spending in another currency, so a traveller, or a freelancer paying for software in dollars, keeps that money with Rebind.

The card also suits people living outside the eurozone who are paid in euros, since the free IBAN and the card let them receive and spend euros without a local euro bank account. If you need a physical card, cash or published cashback terms, the alternatives below are a better fit.
