ZexoCard Virtual Card is a prepaid virtual card that you top up with crypto and use online or through Apple Pay and Google Pay, with no ID check at sign-up. Each card costs $10 to issue, the Everyday card charges $0.25 per payment, and there is no cashback.
ZexoCard sells three virtual cards from one account: Everyday for normal shopping and phone payments, Subscriptions for AI tools, ad accounts and cloud services, and Campaigns for TikTok ad billing. This review covers the Everyday card, which is the one built for personal spending, and you can hold several cards with separate balances side by side.
ZexoCard Virtual Card cashback
ZexoCard Virtual Card pays no cashback on any of its three card products, and ZexoCard doesn't run a points or rewards scheme.
That matters more than it sounds, because the card is not free to use either. At $1,000 of spending a month, a free card paying 1% would return $10 a month, or $120 a year. With ZexoCard Virtual Card you get nothing back and pay a fee on each payment and each top-up on top of that.
ZexoCard does place every account in a Free, Silver or Gold pricing group, but those groups change the fees you pay, not what you earn, and the site doesn't explain how an account moves between them.
ZexoCard Virtual Card fees
ZexoCard Virtual Card has no monthly fee, but each card costs $10 to issue, each payment with the Everyday card costs $0.25, and each top-up carries a funding fee.
The $10 issuance charge is paid once per card. Opening an account, keeping it and checking balances are free, so a single Everyday card used for a year costs $10 before any spending.
The $0.25 payment fee is the cost that repeats, and its weight depends on the size of your purchases. On a $50 payment it works out to 0.5%, but on a $5 coffee it is 5%. Someone making 40 card payments a month pays $10 a month, or $120 a year, in payment fees alone. The Subscriptions and Campaigns cards skip this fee, but they are meant for specific online merchants rather than everyday shopping.
ZexoCard doesn't list its funding fee on the pricing page. It shows the fee in the final quote when you load a card, and the rate depends on your account's pricing group. ZexoCard also doesn't list a fee for payments in currencies other than the dollar, so check the settled amount of your first foreign purchase before relying on the card abroad.
Your crypto turns into a dollar balance when the deposit is credited, and the sending wallet's network fee comes on top. ZexoCard lists crypto conversion and card top-ups as separate charges, and both appear on the funding screen before you confirm.
ZexoCard Virtual Card ATM withdrawal fees
ZexoCard Virtual Card can't be used at ATMs, because ZexoCard issues only virtual cards and no physical card is available.
If you need to turn crypto into cash, use a card that comes in plastic and lists its ATM fees.
Is ZexoCard Virtual Card safe?
ZexoCard Virtual Card is custodial: once your deposit is credited, the money sits in your ZexoCard wallet and on your cards as a dollar balance, not in a wallet you control.
ZexoCard describes itself as a card platform that works with licensed external partners for the cards, custody and conversion, but the site doesn't give a company name or say which bank issues the cards. Because sign-up needs no ID, there is also no regulated account in your name that a deposit protection scheme would cover.
The account security is reasonable for a service of this kind. You can protect the login with an authenticator app or an account PIN, card numbers stay masked until you enter the PIN, and payment verification codes arrive by email and in the account panel. The terms let ZexoCard pause services or restrict accounts, so keep only what you plan to spend soon on the platform.
Who should get ZexoCard Virtual Card
ZexoCard Virtual Card suits people who want to spend crypto through Apple Pay, Google Pay or online checkouts without uploading a passport, and who accept higher costs in return for that privacy.
The card is easiest to justify for a few larger payments a month, where the $0.25 fee stays small, and for anyone holding coins that most crypto cards can't spend. ZexoCard accepts over 100 tokens on dozens of networks, from stablecoins to Litecoin and Dogecoin, and you can pay straight from MetaMask, Phantom or TronLink.
For everyday spending with many small purchases, a card with no per-payment fee and some cashback will leave you better off, and most of those come with a physical card too. The comparison below shows cheaper options in your country.
Where ZexoCard Virtual Card is available
ZexoCard Virtual Card is available worldwide except in North Korea, Iran, Syria, Cuba, Belarus, Afghanistan, Myanmar and the Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.
Anyone outside those places can register with an email address, including people in the United States and the United Kingdom. Which card products you can order depends on what ZexoCard has switched on for your account, so look at the card list after signing up and before paying the $10 issuance fee.
